Other than food and fruits benefit our skin, essential oils also helps to keep our skin healthy. The regular use of pure essential oils and botanical plant extracts helps to keep our skin healthy. They contain nutrients and minerals that are essential to proper skin health. Our skin cells recognize these nutrients and will readily absorb them. Essential oils help to create health and balance to our system.

Here are many type of essential oils that are benefit our skin i found from some reference:

Apricot Kernel Oil:
This light but rich oil is good for sensitive, inflamed for dry skin. Also mature skin. Rich in essential fatty acids. Has a high content of Vitamin A.

Avocado Oil:
Perfect for sensitive and dry skin as it is rich in Vitamins A, B1, B2, D, E, protein, pantothenic acid and fatty acids. Skin problems, especially eczema & psoriasis, respond favorably to its use.

Bergamot:
For sun damaged skin.

Borage Seed Oil:
This botanical oil contains a high percentage of GLA (gamma-linoleic acid), a natural fatty acid that maintains healthy skin, and repairs tissue damage. An excellent oil for dry, mature, and aging skin.

Calendula Oil:
This is infused oil, which means that Calendula flowers have been infused or “steeped” in pure virgin cold pressed olive oil. Calendula is a popular skin healing herb and known for its gentleness, making it a carefree choice for sensitive skin. Calendula’s healing qualities are beneficial for slow healing wounds, burns, eczema, inflammations on the skin, bruises, strains, skin ulcers, and external bleeding. Calendula also has proven anti-fungal properties.

Carrot Seed:
For sun damaged skin.

Chamomile Oil:
Used for dry and sensitive skin.

Cocoa Butter:
Excellent skin softener. This oil acts as a protective layer to hold the moisture in the skin. It melts on skin contact and has a natural chocolate scent. Cocoa Butter is a natural choice for skin on the mend such as stretch marks and new scar tissue.

Coconut Oil:
Obtained from the dried meat of the coconut. it makes soap lather beautifully!

Emu Oil:
This cosmetic grade oil comes from the fat stores of the Australian Emu, a large ostrich like bird. Contains healing properties; anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory, skin regenerative, moisturizing, does not clog pores, relieves sunburn, and assists in the prevention of scars. Emu oil is high in oleic acid, much like human skin, makes it able to penetrate deeply into the skin.

Evening Primrose Oil:
This oil aids in skin cell restoration and contains a high percentage of GLA (gamma-linoleic acid), a natural fatty acid that maintains healthy skin and repairs tissue damage. Excellent oil for dry, mature and aging skin.

Frankincense:
For sun damaged skin.

Geranium Oil:
Good for skin care, especially dry skin.

Grapefruit Oil:
Has a wonderfully uplifting scent. Very energizing. Good for oily skin care and treating cellulite. Safe for pregnancy.

Grape Seed Oil:
Rich in vitamins, minerals and polyunsaturated fatty acids. This light and inexpensive oil is a great general purpose skin care and massage oil. Also makes a nice base for bath oils.

Hemp Seeds Oil:
Produce a vegetable oil that is high in protein and can be used within a variety of foods and cosmetics. Hemp Seed Oil is one of the most effective skin care oils. High in linoleic and linolenic acid – natural essential fatty acids known as the omegas – making this oil very nourishing and provides healing effect to the skin.

Jojoba Oil:
A liquid wax extracted from the fruit of the Jojoba plant. Its composition is very similar to human natural skin oils. This makes it penetrate the skin rapidly. It is nourishing to skin and also softens, moisturizes mature and dry skin. Can help control acne and oily scalps. Its balancing, soothing properties makes it excellent for skin care, hair care and general skin nourishment. Jojoba is rich in Vitamin E and has a 100 year shelf life!

Juniper:
For treating acne and oily skin.

Lavender Oil:
Lavender is wonderful for acne, sensitive skin, and sun damaged skin.

Lemongrass:
For treating acne and oily skin.

Macadamia Nut Oil:
Luxurious oil that absorbs quickly into the skin and acts as an emollient to protect skin cells from deterioration, thus leading to better skin conditions.

Mango Butter:
An exotic oil extracted from mango fruit. If you like Shea Butter, you will love Mango Butter.

Myrrh:
For sun damaged and dry skin.

Neroli:
For sun damaged, dry and sensitive skin.

Palm Oil:
Also known as vegetable tallow, this oil adds firmness to our natural, all vegetable soaps.

Patchouli:
It makes a cleansing, mild bar soap. The quality of Palm oil is far superior to other “filler” vegetable oils.

Rose:
Great for skin care, both oily and dry skin.

Rosewood:
For sensitive skin.

Sandalwood:
For sun damaged and dry skin.

Sesame Oil:
A light yet very rich oil. Rich in vitamins and minerals. A good choice for all skin types especially for babies and children.

Shea Butter:
Obtained by cold pressing of the fruit (seeds) of the African Karite Tree. It is smooth, creamy and extremely moisturizing and gentle to the skin. High in natural phytosterols making it beneficial as an anti-inflammatory. Offers protection to the skin against weather, sun and aging. Shea butter us well known to assist dryness, dermatitis, eczema and burns.

Sweet Almond Oil:
An unscented oil that provides nutrients for moisturizing and conditioning the skin. Penetrates quickly into the skin. It is known to be especially helpful for eczema, itchy, dry, and inflamed skin. Contains vitamins and minerals. An excellent oil for all skin types. High in mono and polyunsaturated fatty acids, contains naturally occurring Vitamins A, B1, B2, B6, E. Great for general skin care and massage.

Tea Tree Oil:
Wonderful for oily skin, can be used on minor cuts and scrapes as well.

Ylang-ylang:
For treating acne and oily skin.
